During the January 11 episode of AEW Dynamite, Saraya competed in her second AEW match ever when she teamed with Toni Storm (for real) to take on AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker.
The bout started around the 9:15 p.m. ET mark with Storm and Hayter kicking things off. This was Storm’s first match since losing the world title to Hayter at Full Gear. When things broke down outside the ring with Baker targeting Storm and Hayter beating up Saraya, Hikaru Shida marched down with a kendo stick in hand.
Shida minded her own business until the end of the bout when she slid her stick in the ring, seemingly for Storm, however Baker grabbed it. While the ref was distracted, Baker struck Storm with the stick to set up Hayter coming in with the pinfall victory. Shida appeared to be in shock at what transpired.
Looking ahead to Friday’s Rampage, Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale will team up again when they take on Tay Melo and Anna Jay in a Street Fight.
