Jazz reaches a huge career milestone

Wrestling legend Jazz reached a monumental milestone when she became the longest active female wrestler in any major promotion today.

Jazz is a true icon and trailblazer in professional wrestling. She debuted in 1998 in a match against the wrestler who inspired her to enter the business, Jaqueline. She made a name for herself in ECW from 1999, where she teamed with the likes of Tommy Dreamer and Raven against Steve Corino and Jack Victory.

Two years later she signed with WWE and a year after she was Women’s Champion. Jazz held the title twice before leaving the company and becoming an independent legend.

In 2016, she won the NWA women’s championship, which she held for 948 days, making her the longest-running NWA women’s champion of the modern era.

In 2019, she appeared in the Women’s Casino Battle Royal at AEW All Out. Last year she announced her retirement from the ring stating injuries and the pandemic as the reasons. Thankfully, a month later “The Female Fighting Phenom” came out of retirement as a surprise entrant in the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Tournament to partner with Jordynne Grace.

It looks as though 2021 will be her last year as an in-ring competitor as she announced her retirement tour in December. The tour and her appearances for IMPACT and her latest achievement are giving her the send-off she deserves.

All at Diva Dirt would like to congratulate Jazz on her landmark achievement.
