IMPACT Wrestling will celebrate the legendary career of Jazz on Thursday night. Jazz lost a match with her career on the line against Deonna Purrazzo at Hardcore Justice.
Jazz announced her retirement last year in the throes of the pandemic but made a surprise comeback at IMPACT’s Knockouts Tag Team Tournament. Since then, Jazz became locked in a feud with Knockout’s Champion, Purrazzo. The Virtuosa avoided the Phenom the best she could and used her back-up, Kimber Lee and Susan, to do her dirty work. These actions led Jazz to put up her career for a chance at Purrazzo’s title at the recent Hardcore Justice event.
Despite her retirement from IMPACT, it seems as though her retirement tour is kicking into action. In December of last year, Jazz announced that she was taking bookings for a retirement tour. New York promotion Black Girl Magik announced her first post-IMPACT booking. Jazz will face Trish Adora in the main event for the Pan Afrikan World Diaspora Championship on June 26th.
