Jazz came forward at the beginning of October and announced she had wrestled her last match and will be retiring from the ring. As we know, those are the famous last words for wrestlers looking to put their in-ring career behind them.
Last week, Jordynne Grace was seen on a phone call contacting someone to be her tag team partner for the current Knockouts Tag Team Tournament. She mentioned that she was catching someone as they are retiring. It has been revealed that her partner will be Jazz.
As the current first-round match between Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz vs. Sea Stars ended, Jazz and Grace were seen backstage watching the results. Jazz was then approached to find out if she was in fact Grace’s tag team partner.
She confirmed this to be true and stated she wants to go out on top as she is set to retire. A former WWE Women’s Champion, a former NWA World Women’s Champion, and now she wants to be a Knockouts Tag Team Champion!
As for the match between Hogan & Steelz, they did defeat the Sea Stars (Delmi Exo & Ashley Vox) in the latter’s debut match on IMPACT. This was also Team Sea Stars’ first televised match which Delmi Exo mentioned on Twitter.
Sea Stars have been met with great fan reaction during their debut but it wasn’t quite enough to pull out a win to advance. Hogan would seal the deal after delivering a swinging neck breaker to Exo to pick up the pin to advance. Hogan & Steelz will face the winner from Deonna Purrazzo/Kimber Lee vs. Taya Valkyrie/Rosemary in the semi-finals.
Grace & Jazz will face Killer Kelly & Renee Michelle in the first round of their bracket. The winner of that will face Havok & Nevaeh in the semi-finals.
