Jordynne Grace defeated Jazz this weekend during the IMPACT Plus event – Genesis. This was the only women’s match on the Genesis card.
The career of Jazz has certainly been legendary and anyone going up against her would think of it themselves as a dream match. With Grace as the opponent, this was also a dream match for fans to watch as well. Grace is certainly the future of wrestling and going over on Jazz certifies that.
This match came about after these two failed to advance to the final match of the Knockouts Tag Team Tournament. After the loss, Grace challenged Jazz for this one-on-one match as a sign of respect. Jazz put her retirement on hold to have these matches with IMPACT.
As far as the match goes, late into the match, Jazz locks in the crossface and then almost put Grace away with a tornado DDT. The two then trade near falls until Grace counters a pinning attempt by Jazz to get the win.
The next big pay-per-view event for IMPACT will be Hard to Kill on Jan. 16. That show will have the final match for the returning Knockouts Tag Team Titles. We will see Nevaeh & Havok battle Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz for the prize. Taya Valkyrie will also try to become a two-time Knockouts Champion as she faces the champ Deonna Purrazzo.
Upcoming on this week’s IMPACT on Tuesday, Kimber Lee will take on Valkyrie and Tenille Dashwood goes one-on-one with Rosemary.
