Ever since the “forbidden door” was opened stars from AEW, IMPACT and NJPW have appeared on different shows. However, the talent share has mainly centred around male performers.
Former IMPACT! Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace wants that to change. Speaking to Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT Grace revealed she is disappointed by the fact that women are yet to be part of the talent share.
Here’s what ‘Thicc Momma Pump’ had to say:
“Honestly, I was super excited when it first got announced, but as the months have dragged on with only a few things happening and never really happening for the women, I’ve been more disappointed than anything else really. Because I thought the forbidden door was definitely going to wide-open instead of having to knock and only a few people get in at a time. But you know, that’s the nature of the business, right!”
Grace isn’t the only one who wants to see the women of IMPACT! and AEW cross paths. AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker cornered Scott D’Amore about a match with Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo.
Despite the lack of talent share between female AEW and IMPACT stars, we have seen NWA stars appear on Dynamite.
Last year Thunder Rosa made her surprise debut on AEW television while NWA World Women’s Champion. Serena Deeb then won the title and regularly defended the title on AEW programming. More recently Kamille confronted Leyla Hirsch after she won an NWA women’s title opportunity on Dynamite.
Jordynne Grace is currently teaming with Rachel Ellering on IMPACT! Wrestling. The duo captured the Knockout’s Tag Team Championships from Fire N’ Flava earlier this year.
