Jordynne Grace to defend her Progress Title against Meiko Satomura

Jordynne Grace will be defending her Progress World Women’s Championship against Meiko Satomura on Sept. 15. She has held this title for the British promotion since December where she defeated NXT UK’s Jinny. Grace has been the definition of a defending champion based on her recent title defenses last weekend.

Over two days, Grace defeated three different women in three different matches to retain her title. Alexis Maria, Dani Luna, and NXT UK’s Nina Samuels all attempted to gain gold but came up short.

The veteran Satomura may be where Grace meets her match. Since starting in the mid-nineties, Satomura has worked for Gaea Japan, Sendai Girls’, and Chikara. She was also in the second Mae Young Classic in 2018. There she defeated Killer Kelly, Mercedes Martinez, and Lacey Lane before falling short of the finals. She lost to Toni Storm in the semifinals.

Will Jordynne be able to overcome the veteran Satomura in order to retain her Progress World Women’s Title at Chapter 95?

Check back in with Diva Dirt to see if we have a new champion come Sept. 15.
