Jordynne Grace is the NEW Knockouts World Champion after winning the first-ever Queen of the Mountain match at Slammiversary.
Grace defeated the now-former champion Tasha Steelz and a field full of former champions including Mia Yim, Chelsea Green, and Deonna Purrazzo. Mickie James served as the Special Guest Enforcer for the bout. This brings Steelz’s championship reign to an end at 106-days. Grace is now a two-time Knockouts World Champion and she hasn’t held this gold since 2020.
The match served some crazy bumps and high-risk moments including Green and Purrazzo crashing through tables on the outside falling ten feet up in the air off of a ladder. You can view some in the Tweets below.
Jame surrounded ringside for the match making sure those who needed to enter the penalty box do so. She even ejected Savannah Evans from ringside, making Steelz go at it alone.
All five women become eligible for the match in the following order – Green, Yim, Purrazzo, and lastly Grace & Steelz (at the same time). Grace pins Steelz off of a Grace Driver to send her to the penalty box one last time. Knowing this was her opportunity, Grace climbs the ladder and hangs the Knockouts World Title to win the match and become the new champion.
At Slammiversary a few other women made appearances such as Christy Hemme, Traci Brooks, and Dixie Carter. The Knockouts World Tag Team Championships changed hands as well as Taya Valkyrie & Rosemary defeated The Influence. You can read more on that by clicking here.
