In a shocking moment, Kacy Catanzaro made her return to NXT tonight as a participant in the No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal. Catanzaro has not been in an NXT ring since July when she tagged with Kayden Carter at a house show and picked up that win.
The last reporting on Catanzaro was that she was on her way out of WWE. It was never confirmed or denied by anyone official but it was important to note that her profile was removed from WWE.com. There were conflicting stories on both her status within the company and her health.
It was originally said by Squared Circle Sirens that she was suffering a back injury and turned in her resignation. The Wrestling Observer would later combat that by saying there is a story there on why she isn’t active on the roster but there was no injury.
Catanzaro has quickly become a fan
She had her spots during the Battle Royal, but would come up short. She was eliminated by Io Shirai lasting through half the women in the match.
