Kay Lee Ray will now be going by the name Alba Fyre.
In a report by PWInsider on April 16, it was said that the name change for the former NXT UK Women’s Champion would take place. At the same time, it was said that Kacy Catanzaro would go by Katana Chance which has also been confirmed now on NXT programming.
In a vignette on the April 26 episode of NXT 2.0, the newly named Alba Fyre explains that fire represents life but in her case a rebirth. She will have to resurrect her past.
The last time that the now-former Kay Lee Ray was seen on NXT programming was at Stand & Deliver over WrestleMania weekend. She participated in a Fatal 4-way for the NXT Women’s Title which Mandy Rose retained. The match also included Io Shirai and Cora Jade.
She won the 2022 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic alongside Shirai.
