Kiera Hogan is officially the new number one contender for the NWA World Women’s Championship after winning a Fatal Four-way match this week on NWA Powerrr.
To kick off NWA Powerrr this week before the number one contender match took place, Melina was interviewed by May Valentine. Melina stated in no disrespect but after 20 years in the business, she shouldn’t have to continue to prove herself. She shouldn’t have to participate in the number one contender match because she should always be at the contender spot. She knows her worth and knows she can beat Kamille. Valentine agreed with her but was concerned about her taking this position and hopes she doesn’t get fired.
Hogan faced off against Jennacide, Christi Jaynes, and Kenzie Paige. The bout came down to Hogan and Jaynes in the ring while the other competitors were on the outside. Jaynes hoisted Hogan on her shoulders, but Hogan was able to counter out of it and hit Face the Music and bridge her way to a victory.
The current champion is Kamille who has held the title since defeating Serena Deeb in June. Her last defense was against KiLynn King at a CCW event and prior to that against Melina at Hard Times 2 in December.
When Hogan will face Kamille has not been confirmed at the time of this writing. She has another title opportunity coming up this weekend as she faces Jordynne Grace for the IMPACT Digital Media Title at the debut TERMINUS event on Jan. 16.
