IMPACT! has confirmed that the Knockouts World Tag Team Championships will be defended at its upcoming Slammiversary event on June 19.
The Influence will be putting their championships on the line against the team of Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie. Team Ragnarok seemed to have reformed at the end of the June 9 episode after Rosemary defeated Tenille Dashwood. Dashwood and Madison Rayne attacked Rosemary after the match in which it was Valkyrie that came down to save her.
Rosemary’s regular tag team partner Havok was defeated by Masha Slamovich in quick fashion and hasn’t been seen since. Havok was taunted by The Influence that she needed to win a match in order to go for the titles. She was unable to do so.
The two have a sorted past from Valkyrie’s prior run with IMPACT! Valkyrie apologized to Rosemary for their past issues and we will see if the two put their past behind them as they hunt for some gold at Slammiversary.
This is the second Knockouts match confirmed for the event as the Knockouts World Title will be defended in a first-ever Queen of the Mountain Match. Tasha Steelz will defend against all prior champions including Jordynne Grace, Chelsea Green, Mia Yim, and Deonna Purrazzo. A Special Guest Enforcer of Mickie James has been included for this bout.
