This week’s episode of IMPACT kicked off with Knockouts action as Tasha Steelz and Killer Kelly renewed their rivalry.
Kelly tried crawling to Steelz at the start, but Steelz cut her off with a kick. Steelz went on to hit a draping DDT off the apron to maintain control. She then applied a headlock until Kelly was knocked out of the ring.
Masha tried checking on Kelly when Tasha hit her with a baseball slide. Back inside, Steelz kept Kelly down with a camel clutch. Once free, Kelly hit three consecutive clotheslines followed by a butterfly suplex into the corner. Kelly trapped Steelz in a sleeper before Deonna Purrazzo came down and pulled the referee out, making it seem like Masha did it. Back inside, Steelz planted Kelly with Black Out for the win.
Following the win, it was later announced that MK Ultra will have to defend the IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Championship against the new team of Steelz and Purrazzo at Bound For Glory on October 21.
A massive 10-person tag team match saw Eric Young, Jordynne Grace, Jake Something, Dirty Dango, and Champagne Singh team up to face Bully Ray, Jody Threat, KiLynn King, Shera, and Brian Myers with Bound For Glory implications involved.
Threat started the match with Dango as Dango initially refused to lay hands on her and KiLynn. Grace eventually came in and tangled with Threat briefly before King returned and showcased her strength against the former champion.
Myers took over with offense on Grace before “The Juggernaut” requested Bully Ray step in. Bully ended up dropping Grace but she avoided an elbow drop. Bully and King went on to hit EY with a double suplex and then King and EY briefly squared off. Grace returned to slam Threat around some more until King broke the cover. In the end, Grace’s team won when Jake Something pinned Shera.
As a result, Grace, Something, Young, Dango and Singh will face off in a five-way bout next week. The winner will earn the #20 spot in the Call Your Shot gauntlet, while the loser will enter at #1.
We also heard from Knockouts World Champion Trinity in a backstage segment as she addressed Mickie James‘ BFG challenge. She understands why Mickie wants a rematch and she feels honored to face her “true friend.” However, Trinity is confident she’ll retain.
Additionally, this week’s BTI saw Savannah Evans pin Jessicka.
