Knockouts Title match set for Bound for Glory

Tonight on Impact Wrestling, a Knockouts Title match was officially set for this year’s Bound for Glory. It will be Tessa Blanchard defending the Knockouts Championship against the returning Taya Valkyrie.

After successfully defending the Knockouts Championship against Faby Apache, Tessa Blanchard took to the mic to celebrate her win, laying claim to running through the Knockouts division as well as one of Mexico’s own stars.

Shortly afterward, Taya Valkyrie appeared on a screen to call out Blanchard. She talked about her history with Mexico, which includes being a two-time Reina de Reinas Champion. Taya continued to discuss how for months, she’s had to hear Blanchard brag about being the best and went on to challenge Blanchard to a match for the Knockouts Championship at Bound for Glory.

Later in the night, Blanchard responded by stating that Taya likes to talk a big name when she is thousands of miles away from her and from the big screen. Blanchard also noted that Taya started to disappear from Impact around the time she debuted but accepted Taya’s challenge.

Impact Wrestling’s Bound for Glory airs live Sunday, October 14th on PPV.
