Happy early Halloween everyone! We’re just one day away from the spookiest time of the year, but tonight is AEW Fright Night Dynamite. And the women of AEW have had plenty brewing coming into tonight.
First, Renee Paquette attempts to get a prediction from the TBS and NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, Mercedes Moné, for Kamille’s match against Kris Statlander tonight. Moné is tired of her asking “dumb questions” and that no one is on the losing side when you’re with The CEO.
Paquette also looks to get a word with both Jamie Hayter and Penelope Ford before heading into their one-on-one match next week on Dynamite. Both point fingers at each other for taking away years of opportunities, but look to finally settle things once and for all.
Next, Kamille and Statlander finally face off for the first time. With Moné in her corner, Kamille immediately goes to work on Statlander for most of the match. Statlander attempts to fight back and tries to match the utter strength of Kamille. She eventually manages to catch Kamille in a Tombstone Piledriver to hand Kamille her first loss in AEW.
Moné is fed up and attacks Statlander from behind. She orders Kamille to go to the back and says that “when you want something done right, you do it yourself.”
