Lacey Evans wrote on her social media accounts today on the passing of her father which happened four years ago. In the post, she shares the emotional struggle of his depression and addiction that led to his overdose.
She continues by describing the life that her father left behind. From here she urges anyone dealing with depression or addiction to get help. No matter how small the problem may seem to be she encourages anyone feeling this way to work on it.
Evans wrote the following at the end of her post, “Get the help and wake up every day knowing people love you. Life is short and it will get better. The sun will shine again, those good days will return and you are worth it. Don’t let it win. Don’t lose. Don’t give up.”
