Lacey Evans to appear on Military Makeover

Lacey Evans will be giving back to the military community on an episode of Military Makeover with Montel for the start of their new season. Evans, who is a veteran herself from the U.S. Marines, will be joining the host, Montel Williams. Williams himself, who is best known for his long-running talk show, is also a veteran himself as he served 15 years in both the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Navy.

Evans spoke about her time in the military and how it has shaped her life.

“I joined the United States Marine Corps to learn a different way of living and I challenged myself in every way, mentally, physically and emotionally,” Lacey said. “I couldn’t think of anything better than the finest fighting force in the world to really push me and create the person that I am.”

The purpose of this show is to help those from the military and their families to rebuild. Evans intends on doing just that for the Patron family. Cody Patron is the focus of this episode as her husband,  Sergeant Daniel J. Patron, was killed in Afghanistan after serving more than a decade in the U.S. Marines. Not only has Cody been dealt with this devastation, but years later she would be hit with another one.

Her home was destroyed by Hurricane Michael, the category 4 weather catastrophe that struck Florida’s panhandle last October. Evans will join Montel and the many other volunteers to help the Patron family rebuild.

This episode can be seen on Lifetime on Aug. 30 at 7:30 a.m. ET.
