The match took place in the main event, despite having the attention taken away from it by Randy Orton and WWE Champion Drew McIntyre fighting backstage.

The match was slated to have a total of 16-women as advertised by the graphic. For whatever reason that was never explained, Alexa Bliss and Zelina Vega did not participate. This is even after Vega was mentioned as being part of it earlier in the night when she was on commentary. The two had a run-in earlier in the night when Bliss showed up in the ring along with The Fiend. They both took out Andrade and Vega with Sister Abigail’s.

The participants included: Lacey Evans, Tamina, Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Lana, Natalya, Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke, Bianca Belair, and Nikki Cross.

On to the match, Tamina was shortly eliminated first after she had a small reunion with Nia Jax. The two would team up on Lana. Jax would then turn on her and eliminate her, followed by knocking off Billie Kay from the apron.

Asuka is on commentary at this time and she is rooting for Mandy Rose saying that she and Dana Brooke are her friends. Moments later, Jax eliminated Rose and Brooke at the same time after they were trying to pull Shayna Baszler over the top rope from the apron.

Everyone that is still in the match would then team up to eliminate Jax. They had her teetering on the top rope as Baszler would come along and give the final push to eliminate her. Jax livid that her own tag team partner eliminated her, would then tear apart the announce table. We all know where this was heading. She then delivered a Samoan Drop to Lana through the table (for the fourth time).

It was at this point that it cut to Orton and McIntyre brawling backstage and followed that up with a commercial break. Once the unnecessary interruptions were over, we find out that Peyton Royce was eliminated by Natalya during the break.

Nikki Cross would be the next eliminated by Lacey Evans. Shayna Baszler would then have Ruby Riott on the apron in the Kirifuda Clutch attempting to eliminate her. After Riott escaped the hold, Bianca Belair would then deliver a Glam Slam to Liv Morgan on top of Riott. Baszler at that point tried to lock in the Kirifuda Clutch on Belair but she was able to avoid it and applied the Glam Slam to Baszler. Baszler was then thrown over the top rope and eliminated.

Belair then is eliminated by The Riott Squad with their precise teamwork. We were then down to four. Riott, Morgan, Evans, and Natalya. Evans eliminates Morgan in one corner simultaneously when Natalya eliminates Riott in the opposite corner.

The final two are two women who certainly have a history together. Natalya and Evans battle it out for a short time until they wind up on the apron. Evans gets knocked into the ring post and nearly loses it. She then knocks off Natalya but the B.O.A.T. clutches onto the middle rope to avoid both of her feet touching the floor. Once she gets her footing back on the ring apron, she catches Evans and slams her into the ring post. Evans would then fall to the floor thus making Natalya the last woman standing.

The bell doesn’t ring.

Lana was NEVER eliminated! she returns to the ring and kicks Natalya off the apron. As Natalya hits the floor, the bell rings and Lana receives a title opportunity against Asuka.
