This past Friday, from the cathedral of lucha libre, la Arena México, we got a non-title rematch between The CMLL Tag Champions Las Infernales versus Las Chicas Indomables.
Coming in hot from their title match last Tuesday, Las Infernales, Dark Silueta and the double crowned champion Zeuxis entered the ring with a black and violet mesh ensemble, while Las Chicas Indomables were dressed in pink.
Las Infernales got the first fall of the match after pinning La Jarochita and then doing an assisted diving senton.
Las Chicas Indomables took control after their first pin loss with a suicide dive and, after a double team pin, they were able to score the second fall of the match and their first.
For the last fall, both teams went after each other. Dark Silueta hit a cannonball from the ring apron to the outside of the ring and hit her tag partner by mistake, but was able to regain control of the match.
Each team would break the pin attempts whenever there was a near fall. Nonetheless, Las Infernales were able to get the last fall and win the match with a german suplex and a double underhook facebuster onto the knees.
Even though the match was not perfect, it felt more entertaining than other bouts, which normally feel like exhibition matches due to their energy and their experience as tag teams. Still, I hope we get more title matches in the future.
