In the main event of the June 27 episode of Raw, Becky Lynch won her last chance to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match in a six-woman elimination match. All six women who weren’t able to win their respective qualifying matches received just one more opportunity. Joining Lynch in the match were Xia Li, Doudrop, Nikki A.S.H., Tamina, and Shayna Baszler.
Lynch won by last eliminating Doudrop with a huge ManHandle Slam from the middle ropes. Doudrop originally went for the splash in the corner but Lynch moved out of the way giving the opening for Lynch to hit her finisher for the victory.
The elimination order was as follows: Xia Li, Nikki A.S.H., Shayna Baszler, Tamina, Doudrop.
The field is now fully set as we have the seven women who will battle for the briefcase which will almost guarantee that one person a championship. Lynch joins Lacey Evans, Raquel Rodriguez, Shotzi, Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka. The match has two prior winners – Bliss and Asuka. Shotzi and Rodriguez will be entering their first Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
Also on this go-home episode of Raw for Money in the Bank was a match between Morgan and Bliss. The two women have been teaming up recently with a mutual respect, however, at Money in the Bank, it will be every woman for themselves. They tested this concept on Raw with Asuka sitting on commentary at ringside.
Morgan pulled out this win between the two after Bliss went for a DDT but was rolled up for the pin.
Lastly, ahead of their Raw Women’s Championship match set for Money in the Bank, the champion Bianca Belair and challenger Carmella met in the ring face-to-face. As Carmella would exit the ring from their encounter, Belair would continue to be interviewed but knew to watch her back. Carmella was indeed trying to sneak attack the champion who took her out and dropped her out of the ring.
This Friday all seven competitors will be together on SmackDown.
