In a Fightful Select report, WWE held a female set of tryouts this week on May 6 and 7 in Orlando, Fla. Fightful has been told that there are a dozen participants that took to the tryouts with some familiar names. Some of the names are frequent to AEW Dark. Here are four that have been rumored to have appeared.
Tesha Price –
Price is perhaps one of the most recognizable names on this list as she has been frequently on AEW Dark since November. Unable to pick up her first win yet in the company, she last faced Kris Statlander on Elevation. Price has faced many names in AEW including Shanna, Serena Deeb, Diamante, Dr. Britt Baker, and Ryo Mizunami just to name a few. An appearance on Dynamite has happened against Abadon.
She has been wrestling for about four years and has done prior work with all-female promotions such as Rise, SHIMMER, and SHINE.
She has previously appeared for WWE on two occasions. The first was against Lacey Evans under the name of Tenilla Price in July 2018. And the second was in a dark match for the Mae Young Classic where she faced Britt Baker.
Alex Gracia –
Perhaps the second most recognizable name on the list is Alex Gracia. Gracia, much like Price, has appeared on numerous occasions for AEW. She has appeared mostly on Dark, however, with a big win against KiLynn King she was able to face AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida on Dynamite in a non-title match. She has been working with AEW since September.
Gracia has also made appearances recently for NWA and has also worked for a number of indie promotions as well. She faced Utami Hayashishita in 2019 at a STARDOM event for the Future of Stardom Title.
Ava Everett –
Ava Everett has been wrestling since her debut in 2018. She has done work for promotions such as CZW, Limitless, and WSU. She is a former WSU Tag Team Champion alongside Angel Sinclair known collectively as the Platinum Hunnies. You can view a recent promo of hers from Limitless Wrestling below.
Natalia Markova –
Born in Russia, Natalia Markova has been wrestling the longest on this list as she made her debut in 2007. Markova is the current SHINE Nova Champion and has done a lot of work with the promotion. She has had a prior tryout with WWE in 2017 and has worked with promotions now connected with WWE such as EVOLVE and PROGRESS. You can view a promo below in which Markova targeted Shotzi Blackheart.
