The Women’s Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 38 will now be a Triple Threat Match as Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley have been added. The match was already set between the champions Carmella & Queen Zelina vs. Sasha Banks & Naomi.
On this week’s Raw, the team of Morgan & Ripley faced the champs in a non-title match but with big implications. If Morgan & Ripley won they would be added to the title bout. Ripley pinned Zelina off of a Riptide.
The match came down to Zelina finding herself all alone in the ring. After Morgan gained some momentum against Zelina, the tag team champion looked to tag her partner in after suffering a near fall. However, Carmella was at commentary chatting it up with her future husband, Corey Graves.
Carmella lost to Naomi on last Friday’s SmackDown and Zelina is scheduled to take on Sasha Banks this Friday. What will the dynamics be now that there is a third team added to the match with WrestleMania being just four weeks away? The match takes place on Sunday, Night Two on April 3.
Also on Raw, Dana Brooke defended her 24/7 Championship against Tamina in her hometown of Cleveland. The match was rather short with Brooke retaining. After the match, Akira Tozawa called Tamina the love of his life. Tamina blew him a kiss as she left the ring.
