Lucha Underground is currently filming matches and segments for Season 4 and the series is expected to churn out at least 20 episodes. However, an air date for the season hasn’t been set in stone yet.
Now several sources behind the scenes, and some talent, are promising Season 4 will arrive sometime this summer.
A recent tweet from Dorian Joaquín Roldán Peña, vice president of AAA and in a general management position for Lucha Underground, hypes the upcoming premiere:
Hoy nos encontramos en las grabaciones de Lucha Underground. Fundada en 2014, con más de 100 episodios ya grabados, estrenará su temporada 4 durante el Verano de 2018 por el canal @Elreynetwork en USA. pic.twitter.com/MIfvKTbD9f

The tweet translates to: “Today we find ourselves at the tapings of Lucha Underground. Founded in 2014, with more than 100 episodes already taped, season four will premiere during Summer 2018 on the El Rey Network channel in the USA.”
Johnny Mundo, leader of Worldwide Underground, also hinted that the show will air sometime this summer on his Instagram:
Meanwhile, LU has been steadily expanding its reach, airing in Canada, France, Germany, Latvia, India, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Japan. The show is also partnering with Impact and other promotions, possibly, to share talent and put on shows.
The first match announcement for their partner show against Impact during WrestleMania weekend is a trios bout between Dezmond Xavier, Andrew Everett, and DJZ against King Cuerno, Drago, and Aerostar.
While spoilers for Season 4 are very sparse, with the company even cracking down on leaks by issuing cease and desist letters to some outlets, there’s no confirmation yet on which luchadoras will definitively return for this upcoming season.
Returns should include at least Taya, Mariposa/Cheerleader Melissa, Beautiful Brenda, and the rumored debut of Chelsea Green. We will report on any roster updates once we get them and when the air date becomes official.
