LuFisto took to Twitter to announce she is dealing with a serious injury. She was scheduled to face Allysin Kay this past Friday night at Femmes Fatales 21 in Ontario, Canada, but had to pull out due to an injury from falling down the stairs.
She was originally diagnosed with a severe sprain, but feared it may be worse. This morning, she saw an orthopedic surgeon and it seems she is dealing with a serious injury. She hasn’t specified the results, but has cancelled two shows in March.
In a tweet, LuFisto had this to say after meeting with the surgeon:
LuFisto has had a barrage of health issues in the last couple of years that have caused her to miss a lot of time in the ring. Last year, she announced she was diagnosed with cervical cancer, which resulted in surgery. Thankfully, she won that battle with cancer.
