Ever since failing to win the WWE Mae Young Classic this past summer, Madison Rayne has kept herself busy these past few months. For the most part, she has competed in ROH and Shimmer as of late. Tonight, at IWC Cold Blooded, she took an interesting detour to IWC Wrestling. There, Rayne challenged Katie Arquette – who’s uncle is fellow wrestler, David Arquette – for the IWC Women’s Championship.
Katie Arquette has successfully defended her title for the past 104 days against some game competition, including Dr. Britt Baker. Just over an hour ago (as of this writing), that title reign came to a screeching halt when Madison Rayne defeated Katie Arquette in the middle of that ring to claim her title. This is especially impressive considering that this was Madison Rayne’s first match for the promotion.
Madison Rayne is now the fourth woman to win the IWC Women’s Championship. Previous title holders were Britt Baker (twice), LuFisto and, of course, Katie Arquette. Congratulations to Madison Rayne! We’re anxious to see her defend her championship for the first time.
