Mandy Rose gives her view on intergender wrestling

Intergender wrestling is a hot topic in wrestling. WWE recently brought it back into conversation when Nia Jax took out R-Truth and entered as the last entrant into the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Since then, a match between Jax and Dean Ambrose was announced for a house show before getting scrapped.

Mandy Rose recently gave her thoughts on intergender wrestling in an interview with the New York Post.

“I think it’s a great time for it,” Rose told the Post. “Women are breaking down those barriers and they’re becoming, you know, they’re main-eventing and it’s just been an amazing time for women in general in sports. I feel like, yeah, why not do intergender matches? It brings entertainment. It brings a lot of different viewers and demographics and all that, so why not do it?”

WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge is the closest, recent instance where the company has offered intergender wrestling. The tournament highlighted mixed tag team matches which did not allow the women to face the men. Once a specific gender was tagged in, they had to face that same gender. Rose teamed with Goldust during the first season.

Who would you like to see in a future intergender match? Who could Rose face from the men’s roster? Let us know in the comment section below!
