The NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose didn’t fair too well heading out of this week’s NXT 2.0 and into the In Your House premium live event this weekend.
Both the NXT Women’s Championship and the Women’s Tag Team Championships will be on the line this weekend at the show and all three members of Toxic Attraction are in danger to lose their gold. A Women’s Championship Summit took place where the last signature needed was Rose’s.
Rose will be challenged by Wendy Choo on Saturday while Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne will have to put their gold on the line against Katana Chance & Kayden Carter.
The four women battling for the tag titles traded words back and forth while Choo kept telling Rose to sign the contract. This would erupt the crowd in a “sign the contract” chant that the champion did not appreciate.
Once the contract was signed, a brawl broke out which benefited the challengers who stood tall. After the KC’s handled Toxic Attraction they targeted Rose laying her out on the mat. They set up a table and held Rose for Choo to head up top and come crashing down through Rose and the table.
Other moments on this week’s NXT 2.0 had Thea Hail with a promo introducing her more into the brand. She has participated on Level Up but has yet to step in the ring for 2.0. She is a recent high school graduate and was ready to choose a college. Instead of choosing an ivy league education, she decided to go with Chase U.
Two women’s matches took place with the first one being between Cora Jade and Elektra Lopez. The feud started to brew last week when Jade was in the front row of the crowd getting into the mind of Lopez during her match with Alba Fyre. Jade picked up the win after a backdrop from the top turnbuckle.
The second match had a backstage segment beforehand as Kiana James approached Ivy Nile. She mocked Nile that she would no longer have the Creed Brothers to confide in once they are no longer a part of Diamond Mine. If they lose at In Your House they are no longer a part of the group.
James feels that they will not win and has a less than 12 percent chance of winning. That is after she crunched the numbers. She says that Nile has the same percentage to defeat her as well.
The match took place afterward which saw Nile continue her winning ways and secure her undefeated streak. She pinned James after delivering a slam on the mat. Nile wasn’t able to celebrate her win as the NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly came out to confront her. The Creed Brothers would appear in the ring to back her up as those two teams face off at In Your House.
Sofia Cromwell appeared once again by the side of Mr. Stone and Von Wagner. She continues not to speak but her presence is certainly felt. They appeared during the Grayson Waller vs. Josh Briggs match as they have their eye on Briggs and Jensen. A build for Cromwell and Fallon Henley may be brewing.
