Maria Kanellis Bennett, the First Lady of IMPACT!, is back in the IMPACT Zone.
Since being released by WWE in 2020, Maria has spent her time revitalizing the women’s division in Ring of Honor and being a workhorse for women’s wrestling. The promotion is currently on hiatus since the end of 2021.
With that, ROH has invaded IMPACT. After the men’s Hardcore War match, several men from ROH appeared to attack the winners of that match. In those that led the attack were Mike Bennett and Matt Taven. And where there is Mike there will certainly be Maria.
She was brought into the ring after the attack as she posed with Bennett, Taven, Vincent, and PCO. After the segment was finished, Scott D’Amore said he wasn’t expecting this to happen and was going to contact Baltimore (where ROH is located).
Maria is a former Knockouts Champion from her previous time in the company. ROH Women’s Champion Rok-C was also in attendance as she sat in the front row to witness the women’s main event. Mickie James faced Deonna Purrazzo defending her Knockouts World Title in a Texas Death Match. Rok-C will be facing Purrazzo shortly on IMPACT in a Winner Take All Match.
