At WrestleMania 32, the WWE re-branded their Women’s Division from Divas to Superstars. In doing so, the company retired the Divas Championship and introduced a new (Raw) Women’s Championship.
In response to a fan question on Twitter on what she’d “want to change or maybe see different”, Maria Kanellis said she would bring back the Divas Championship.
She explained that the title could serve as a third title option for the Women’s division, similar to the men’s mid-card United States and Intercontinental Championships:
I’d bring back the Divas title. https://t.co/Dl64nzfRLZ

The Divas Champions have value. They are an important part of the Evolution of Women in the WWE. https://t.co/ORugEidGpW

I’d have all three titles. Just like the IC or the US. Why not have several opportunities for women to become champions? https://t.co/48nAglBUKJ

There are few people that truly understand what the Divas title was supposed to be. It was supposed to be another title to fight for, just like there are today, not the only title. But people criticize that don’t understand and that’s just ignorance.

Kanellis is currently sidelined with an injury but still has her sight on a WWE return.
Do you agree with Maria Kanellis’ POV?
