News has broken that Maria Manic‘s deal with Ring of Honor has expired and she took part in a private WWE tryout this week. Her contract was said to be up on Oct. 1 and has not received a new offer. She has only been with the company since June. She previously had a tryout with WWE in 2018.
This stems from an exclusive from Fightful and followed up by Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens who both have reported the aforementioned news.
Manic was only in ROH for a short period of time and didn’t even have a match. She only took part in a couple of run-ins, in which she stopped The Allure from double-teaming Kelly Klein. This happened during Klein and Angelina Love‘s Women of Honor Championship matches.
Her departure from ROH leaves the already confused women’s division extremely depleted. Kelly Klein, Angelina Love and Mandy Leon are the only talents that have been seen on a regular basis. Ring of Honor’s loss may be WWE’s gain.
