On the Nov. 16 episode of AEW Collision, two women’s matches were presented.
The first women’s match opened the show as Mina Shirakawa returned and faced Harely Cameron. The two went “tit for tit” as Shirakawa won the match with the Glamour Driver. Shirakawa now has a 6-1 record for her time with AEW. Her only loss was against Toni Storm when she challenged for the AEW Women’s World Title.
In the middle of the show, Kris Statlander spoke on her opponent Mercedes Moné next week at Full Gear for the TBS Title. Hikaru Shida interrupted and said it is about time someone beats Moné boney ass, however, she wants first shot at the title once Statlander wins it back. Statlander did one step further and agreed to face Shida this Wednesday on Dynamite.
In the main even, a No DQ Match took place where Anna Jay faced Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Title. Jay added the stipulation where if she didn’t win then she couldn’t challenge for the belt again as long as May is champion.
The match pulled out all the weapons for the two women including an incredible spot on top of a bike rack. This garnered chants from the audience such as “holy shit” and “this is awesome.”
The match reached its end when May spray something in Jay’s face and hit the Storm Zero on top of a chair. Shirakawa came out to celebrate with May and the two will have a champagne celebration at Full Gear.
The Vendetta (Taya Valkyrie and Deonna Purrazzo) looked on from backstage as Valkyrie did offer some guidance to Jay before the bout.
