Maryse and The Miz were set to renew their vows as the perfect A-list couple that they are on the last Raw of 2021.
In a ceremony officiated by Eric Bischoff, Maryse shares her love for her husband and knows that at Day 1 he will prove that he is a way better wrestler than Edge. After comparing their love making to fireworks, the two agree to continue to stay by each others side as husband and wife.
However, what didn’t go as planned (surprise, surprise) was a dream of a white wedding would be doused in a Brood bath. Edge appeared to play some mind games with Miz and Maryse and ended with a surprise for the renewed love. After confirming that they wanted a white wedding, The Brood music came on as the lights turned to red before the loving couple were drenched.
Elsewhere on Raw, Nikki A.S.H. challenged on behalf of her and Rhea Ripley a Women’s Tag Team Championship rematch against the champs Queen Zelina and Carmella. In a separate backstage promo, Carmella accepted the challenge from Nikki. Carmella continued to point out Nikki as the weak leak on her team with Ripley. A date for the match was not set.
A mixed tag team match took place between the 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke along with Reggie as they faced Tamina and R-Truth. As Tamina was perhaps moments away from winning the match by having Dana Brooke right where she wanted her, R-Truth tagged himself in. Reggie would get the win for him and Dana after pinning Truth.
Ahead of Day 1 this Saturday, a video package aired for the upcoming highly anticipated match between Liv Morgan and RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
