Masha Slamovich was a primary focus from the Knockouts division on the February 16 episode of IMPACT.
Slamovich went one-on-one with Alisha Edwards just a week before her No Surrender title match. Mickie James was on commentary to watch as Alisha threw the first few strikes. Slamovich capitalized from there and hit Alisha with a number of suplexes before connecting with Snow Plow for the quick win.
Post-match, Masha applied a choke hold on Alisha until Mickie ran in to break it up. Masha then applied the rear naked choke hold on Mickie until other officials tried to separate them. Ultimately, Masha relented and retreated to the back as the champ was laid out.
The Hex appeared in a backstage promo alongside Father James Mitchell. Allysin Kay will take on Taya Valkyrie next week before their tag team title match at No Surrender.
Earlier in the night on BTI, Steph De Lander took on another former champion in Deonna Purrazzo. Despite De Lander’s best efforts, Purrazzo emerged victorious. After, Jai Vidal and Gisele Shaw attempted to throw chili on Purrazzo in an act of revenge, but The Virtuosa moved and Vidal took the hit.
