Melina had her debut match tonight in an IMPACT ring for the first time in her veteran career. She faced Brandi Lauren.
Lauren recently was released by WWE without making her official on-screen debut. She returns to IMPACT after four years where she was previously known as Ava Storie. Melina was able to pick up the win in her debut match after making Lauren tap to the Muta Lock.
This win was to prove a point to the Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo who Melina will be facing at NWA EmPowerr. Purrazzo along with Matt Rehwoldt had a two-on-one attack on Melina post-match until Trey Miguel came out to help Melina. From this, a match was baooked for tomorrow’s Emergence event.
Other moments on IMPACT involves the return of Madison Rayne‘s Locker Room Talk. Rayne returned to IMPACT last week and this week she had a segment with Tenille Dashwood who she aligned with against Taylor Wilde.
Su Yung and Kimber Lee are in a segment where Yung is relishing in the soul of Kiera Hogan that Lee brought her last week. Lee states that there will be more souls for her to bring.
The IMPACT Plus event Emergence will air tomorrow on Aug. 20. There will be three matches involving the Knockouts.
