Ever since May 2016, McKenzie Mitchell has served as a consistent voice on IMPACT Wrestling’s television screens. Serving as a backstage interviewer and on-screen personality, Mitchell’s verbal cadence and delivery would add a subtle sense of credibility to IMPACT Wrestling and provided something special to the programming.
Now, that special sort of subtle credibility will be missing from IMPACT Wrestling as Mitchell makes her exit out of the company. Mitchell would announce her departure herself on Instagram and Twitter using the following caption:
In her statement, the broadcast journalist major would never specify exactly why she decided to leave IMPACT Wrestling, but sources close to PWInsider would claim that Mitchell handed in her notice to IMPACT last Monday at the show’s television tapings in Nashville, Tennessee.
We are also not sure who will be replacing Mitchell’s role in the company as she served as an interviewer whenever they taped shows in the United States. Perhaps this could wind up creating an expanded role for Alicia Atout, who serves as the company’s backstage interviewer whenever IMPACT is in Canada for tapings. Only time will tell where both parties will go from here.
If one thing is for sure, it is that the University of Mississippi graduate’s presence will be sorely missed at the IMPACT Zone and we wish her the best in wherever she decides to go or whatever she decides to do next in her career.
