Meiko Satomura retains title in gruelling battle on NXT UK

Meiko Satomura is still your NXT UK Women’s Champion after defeating Jinny in a gruelling and hard-fought battle.

Jinny challenged Satomura for the title in the main event of the most recent edition of NXT UK.

It was the Fashionista’s third opportunity for championship gold and she fought her damnedest to pry it from the Final Boss. However, Satomura proved to be everything her moniker states by successfully retaining.

Despite the loss, Jinny gave the champion her toughest challenge to date and took Satomura to her limit.

The match was an incredibly physical affair with both competitors going all out to emerge the victor.

Satomura used her signature hard-hitting attack, while Jinny’s craftiness saw her in control for large portions of the bout.

Jinny targetted Satomura’s knee, therefore, removing 50% of her offence. However, the Final Boss used her will, skill and experience to persevere.

The combatants exchanged vicious strikes, punishing submission holds and breathtaking near falls.

After a gruelling contest, Satomura hit Scorpio Rising and a second Death Valley Driver to put Jinny away.

Before the match, Blair Davenport put both champion and challenger on notice.

Also on the show, Stevie Turner and Dani Luna exchanged words backstage, likely setting up a match between the two.

Finally, Angel Hayze made her NXT UK debut against Isla Dawn. Haze won the match via DQ after Dawn refused to release a hair pull.
