The IMPACT Wrestling go-home show to Emergence was highlighted by two Knockouts matches.
First, Killer Kelly made her long-awaited IMPACT return/debut with a quick squash match victory over OVW standout Tiffany Nieves. The former NXT UK star was vicious with the few moves she showcased before sealing the deal with the Killer Clutch submission.
Following that was Madison Rayne‘s final IMPACT match as we know she has now signed with All Elite Wrestling to serve as their head women’s coach. Rayne was tasked with taking on a familiar foe in Mia Yim. The two had a lengthier contest in comparison to Killer Kelly’s bout, and it was rather evenly matched. Ultimately, Yim pulled out the Eat Defeat to secure the victory.
Afterwards, Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace asked Yim if she’s ready for their title match on Friday at Emergence. Yim countered with a bit of mind games by reminding Grace that her title reigns have historically been on the shorter side.
In addition to Grace vs. Yim, Emergence will also feature VXT challenging Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie for the IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Championship on the pre-show.
