Mia Yim has returned to the ring for the first time since December 2020. Her last match was in WWE against Nikki Cross. She was released from WWE in November 2021 and has spent time away from the ring to handle personal matters and get married to fellow professional wrestler Keith Lee.
Yim’s first match back was against Athena as they battled at WrestleCon’s SuperShow on Thursday. The final moments of the match saw Athena try to get the win after a powerbomb from the top but she wasn’t able to get the three count.
Athena, showing frustration, would push down the referee and grab a chair. However, before she was able to use it, the referee regrouped and caught her with the chair. Yim took advantage of Athena getting sidetracked and put away her opponent with a package piledriver. Yim is victorious in her first match back.
Also at this event, Taya Valkyrie defeated John Morrison in a Dirty Dishes Match.
Summer Rae was also in attendance and got to share the ring with an old dancing partner, Dirty Dango (Fandango).
