Michelle McCool is just one of the many names already announced for this year’s Royal Rumble match. The list is already star-packed and with nine more names unannounced who knows who will be added.
The former four-time champion recently spoke on Busted Open Radio where she revealed two former SmackDown Women’s Champions that she would love to battle in the ring with. Naomi and Bianca Belair are two names that she is looking forward to in the Royal Rumble match. She speaks highly of her past encounters with Naomi and she is looking to face off against Belair for the first time.
“There is a whole set of girls that I’ve never really danced with in the ring before,” says McCool. “The main names everyone says, the Beckys, the Charlottes, but I really look forward to…I love every time I can get in the ring with Naomi. She is so dang athletic. Just as athletic as Bianca and I’ve never worked with her, just at the PC here and there. I’m really looking forward to mixing it up with those two if given the chance. I would like to mix it up with Charlotte because whether or not she knows, I kind of have a bone to pick with her. Every time she is on our TV, our two-year-old goes, ‘Mommy, mommy.’ ‘That is not mommy. Mommy is right here. She plays a queen. I am the queen.’ She runs her mouth a whole lot. Just mixing it up with new girls, old girls. Nattie and I have some business. Mickie James and I have unfinished business. Hopefully, there are a few more surprise entrants that I’ve had a past with as well.” [h/t – Fightful]
McCool’s resume is highly decorated and impressive as the first-ever Divas Champion and one-half of one of the most famous women’s tag teams of all time – LayCool. Where was the Women’s Tag Team Titles back then huh?
Since retiring in 2011, McCool has had fantastic showings during the first Royal Rumble and the Battle Royal at Evolution both taking place in 2018. She had an impressive five eliminations and lasted nearly nine minutes before being eliminated by Natalya.
