Mick Foley backs the idea of an all-female brand in WWE – Suggests AEW may do it first

Mickie James recently went on record to say that she pitched the idea of an all-female branded show for WWE prior to her release. She was told by someone within the company that she pitched the idea to that it would never, ever, happen. Not only that but was told that women’s wrestling doesn’t sell and that the Evolution pay-per-view was the lowest-rate pay-per-view in WWE history.

This has caught the eye of another legendary Mick – Mick Foley.

Foley isn’t shy at using his social media to address certain topics and has addressed Vince McMahon in regards to the idea of an all-female brand in WWE. He says that this needs to happen and perhaps McMahon should capitalize on this before another company such as specifically AEW does it.

Whereas AEW hasn’t necessarily hinted at this idea, IMPACT however has. Recently IMPACT’s Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore has mentioned the idea to bring back TNA and brand it as its own show. In this, he said that with the growing Knockouts division that maybe we will see them have their own platform.

IMPACT producer and in-ring Legend Gail Kim also had something to back up Foley’s sentiments.

Although this idea has had people on both sides explaining why it is or is not a good idea, one thing that Mickie James was told is not true. The idea that women’s wrestling doesn’t sell is completely ludicrous.

Women’s wrestling does sell.

What are your thoughts on what Foley had to say? Leave them below.
