Mickie James and NWA are determined to bring us the best women’s wrestling in the world.
Last month James announced that NWA is hosting their first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view EmPowerrr.
Earlier today in a press conference to promote EmPowerrr and NWA 76 James revealed another first for the historic promotion. During the conference, James announced the NWA Women’s Invitational.
Here’s what Mickie James said;
“I can not tell you how honoured I am to be part of the monumental weekend. It’s going to be history in the making because not only are we coming back to the Chase, but we are for the first time ever putting in the first-ever NWA all-women’s pay-per-view, which is just the start of a whole new empowering envision that Billy has allowed me with the NWA, to lead the charge on. And so we have so many amazing females coming in for this event and we really hope to really make so many changes along the way.”
“Obviously, the NWA women’s championship will be defended that night, but also for the first time ever we are going to hold the NWA women’s invitational where we will find the top women in the industry, the up-and-coming, the rising talent that we see as the future prospects of the women in the industry. The first person I would like to announce as a part of this invitational is a Saint Louis representative and none other than Tootie Lynn. Miss Tootie Lynn of Saint Louis as part of this amazing cup and this will be defended once a year always on the anniversary weekend and the winner of this cup will face the NWA women’s champion at NWA73.”
Tootie Lynn is an independent wrestler with four year’s experience. She has wrestled for multiple indie promotions and was the CCW women’s champion for 259-days in 2019.
NWA EmPowerrr and NWA 73 take place on August 28 and August 29 in St. Louis, Missouri.
