Mickie James continues to remain busy.
After producing the first-ever all-female pay-per-view for the NWA promotion titled EmPowerrr, James has been swept into a high-profile championship chase in IMPACT! for the Knockouts Championship. The feud started when James invited Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo to EmPowerrr to defend her title against Melina despite the champion’s hesitancy.
Since then, Purrazzo attacked James after her return match against Kylie Rae at NWA73 and the two have been throwing fists ever since. The two have been on a collision course towards IMPACT’s Bound for Glory where the Knockouts Title is on the line.
Shifting between IMPACT and NWA, Mickie appears to be back to NWA and has something to announce. In a Twitter post by NWA’s Commentator Joe Galli, James will be taking the podium spotlight on this week’s Powerrr where she has a “major announcement” to make. She would add to the message by stating she has “exciting stuff on the forefront! I have some very cool things to discuss tomorrow on NWA.”
Kylie Rae, Melina, and Chelsea Green are all said to be on Powerrr this week as well.
James was on this past weekend’s airing of Knockouts Knockdown in the commentary role next to Veda Scott.
