On this week’s IMPACT! a star-studded eight Knockout tag team match took place. Coming off of Sacrifice, the Knockouts division has new champions.
The Influence defeated The IInspiration becoming the new Knockouts World Tag Team Champions making Tenille Dashwood earn her first gold in the company. Also, Tasha Steelz would earn her first Knockouts World Title win by overcoming Mickie James. James received some revenge by pinning the new champion on this week’s show.
In the match, all three new champions along with Savannah Evans faced all three former champions along with Chelsea Green. Green was working with an injury and would not enter the match despite her attempt. James showed concern by keeping her out. Kaleb with a K attempted to help even though he was instructed not to, and pulled Green off the apron as she was going for a tag. This ended in a low blow to Kaleb while Mickie delivered a Mick-DT to Steelz to get the win.
Later on in the episode, Deonna Purrazzo was being interviewed backstage about her victory at Sacrifice and her relentless attack on Chelsea Green after the match. Purrazzo says her only regret is showing any mercy. She says she is the Fujiwara armbar specialist and that’s what she does is break arms. Purrazzo questions any further challengers as Gisele Shaw appears and touches both titles.
Wondering if Shaw wants a title opportunity or what, Lady Frost appears and is puzzled to what is going on since she defeated Shaw at Sacrifice. This led to Purrazzo agreeing to a Triple Threat match next week where she will put not just one, but both of her championships on the line.
On BTI, Jordynne Grace faced Havok and came out with a victory. Towards the finish of the bout, Grace attempted to execute a Grace Driver but was unable to get Havok up to complete it. She locked in a sleeper hold which resulted in Havok passing out.
