This week, former Knockouts Champion Mickie James appeared as a guest on the latest Wrestlecast podcast from The Sun. During the already-recorded interview, Mickie was asked about the female wrestlers she admires, and named none other than fellow former Diva Serena.
The folks at The Sun have sent us the following sneak peak of the interview.
Mickie says:
The one person I do really rate – and I don’t think she ever got a legitimate run – is Serena. She did the thing with CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society – and even shaved her head and she had beautiful hair!
She’s the one person I wanted to work an angle with and I never got a chance to. I rate her as one of the best females out there. I don’t think she ever got a true run in the women’s division. She was just a valet. She got released before she had a chance to show what she could actually do in the ring.
The full audio interview can be found here.
Speaking of Serena, she will be appearing at WSU’s Breaking Barriers II iPPV on November 19th, competing against Melina in her first post-WWE match.
