Erin‘s pick: Gail Kim and Daniel Bryan
Before there was Braniel, there was.. Ganiel? Dail? Kimyan?
Anyways, it was Gail Kim and Daniel Bryan, a pairing that set Brie and Nikki Bella into full hellcat mode. After competing for his affection for some time, the twins discovered him making out with Gail backstage. Bryan would reveal that he and Gail had been dating for several months. As for why he strung the Bellas along, Gail claimed that he felt sorry for them, what with the lack of Raw guest stars milling about. Thus, the once undesirable Superstar became a two-timing (three-timing?) ladies man.
Gail accompanied Bryan to the ring for his matches and got into brutal catfights with the Bellas, holding her own despite being outnumbered. The fights were easily the most interesting part of this pairing, which seemed to exist solely to put an end to the Bryan/Bellas storyline. Poor Gail.
What’s even worse was the fact that Gail was Bryan’s third choice for the storyline. Gail has also revealed that the story came about just when she was set to submit her WWE resignation. This storyline kept the neglected Diva on television for a few weeks, before it too fizzled out and Gail went back to her sporadic appearances. Eventually, Gail would depart the WWE in a blaze of glory, performing an amazing act of Battle Royal self-elimination. See what losing Daniel Bryan does to a woman?
