Katelyn‘s pick: Lilian Garcia and Viscera
During former Ministry of Darkness enforcer Viscera’s THIRD run with the WWE, his first big storyline came at the hands of the then-Women’s Champion Trish Stratus. She hired him as protection against her enemies Lita and Kane. This spurred a change in Viscera, whom transformed into the now iconic “World’s Largest Love Machine”.
After being rebuffed by Stratus, Viscera turned his attentions towards ring announcer Lilian Garcia, introducing us to one of the greatest love stories ever told by WWE. Week after week, Viscera attempted to seduce Lilian – with his beautiful singing voice, a very erotic striptease and even laying a big kiss on her. It seemed as though Lilian was finally coming around to the idea of her and Big Vis being together forever, introducing him with a massive smile on her face when he’d enter the ring and even promising that he’d “hit the jackpot” when they reached Las Vegas for Vengeance in 2005.
‘twas unfortunately not meant to be though – despite a touching proposal from Lilian to Viscera, The Godfather would interrupt and talk Viscera into walking off with some of his lovely Hos, leaving Lilian heartbroken and alone.
Fear not though, Lilian/Viscera fans. The angle was revived a whole YEAR later, this time also involving Charlie Haas competing for her affections. Lilian ended up friend-zoning both superstars though, and got Samoan Dropped and laughed at for her efforts. Better luck next time, Lil. At least you’ve forever been immortalized in Viscera’s Titan Tron from that period.
