It should come as to no surprise that there are talks to postpone the Money in the Bank pay-per-view that is scheduled for May 10. This event was announced prior to the COVID-19 pandemic had spread which has caused lockdowns for many states throughout the country. It was originally scheduled to take place in Baltimore, MD.
According to WrestleVotes, their sources state that it will not happen as planned and there is currently no known information on when or where it will take place in the future. It is currently listed as: To Be Determined.
Added to this, it has been mentioned that WWE has taped up to the April 8 episode of NXT. That would mean that the women’s number one contender’s Ladder Match will still be aired if that is the case. So at this time, it is not certain on what the plan is for the future as the state of Florida has a stay-at-home order confirmed.
With recent shows/tapings occurring at the Performance Center in Orlando, Fla. this could mean that they will be pausing on weekly shows in the immediate future. They may continue to still air past matches. WWE has not confirmed what their plan is at the time of this writing.
Last year’s Money in the Bank event saw Bayley win the briefcase and cash in on Charlotte Flair later on that night.
