It was confirmed earlier today that Dakota Kai has been released by WWE.
In a further report by Fightful Select, more information has come out about the release. It has been said that Kai was expecting the release to happen and she saw it coming. As a result, she was planning not to renew her WWE contract. She had several looks on the main roster with dark matches but she did not know if the plan was for her to be called up around draft time.
A total of ten individuals were let go from NXT including three Performance Center recruits who didn’t get to make their in-ring debut. Fightful has spoken to several of the released stars who have been in good spirits, all things considered.
Kai being the biggest name in the releases was followed up by Persia Pirotta. Pirotta who has only been on-screen since October was a frequent weekly on NXT 2.0 programming.
