Just like most of us in 2020, Naomi has had quite an interesting year. She came back strong at the Royal Rumble in January to a huge reaction from the fans. This was after a personal hiatus for half of 2019.
From there she was put into the title picture against Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Title. She even made history from taking part in the first women’s championship match to take place in Saudi Arabia.
Since then Naomi has either been non-existent to the product or she loses the matches she is involved in. More recently she was frequently on the losing end to Lacey Evans which sparked a #NaomiDeservesBetter trend on social media.
It is being reported by PWInsider that Naomi is about to receive a nice push. Although she wasn’t used this week on SmackDown, she will be pushed in a “stronger manner” in the upcoming weeks. WWE has allegedly heard “loud and clear” the demand from fans to utilize Naomi in the correct capacity.
The most obvious choice is to capitalize on the win Naomi had against Bayley during the Beat the Clock challenge match on Aug. 21. Bayley has held the SmackDown Women’s Championship since last October. Could Bayley be the won to finally take the title from her?
