Naomi earned her spot to face Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. This match will take place in Saudi Arabia at Super ShowDown. The last event that took place in Saudi Arabia was the first time that women were able to compete. Natalya defeated Lacey Evans in a one-on-one bout.
On tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown, Naomi defeated Carmella in a number one contender’s match. Carmella was fresh off a loss to Bayley with the title on the line last week and was hungry for another crack at the gold.
Unfortunately for Mella, she came up short and fell victim to a split leg moonsault.
Bayley was at ringside to get a front row seat, but after multiple distractions caused during the match, she was sent to the back. She was doing everything in her power to try and have Naomi lose. Bayley has a big goose egg when it comes to one-on-one matches against the Glow one.
Whoever comes out of Super ShowDown as the SmackDown Women’s Champion will set pace on who will be going to WrestleMania. There will be one more stop however, and that will be the Elimination Chamber event on March 8.
